Sky Vegas is a casino: slots, jackpot games, instant wins and live dealer tables. Sky Bet is a sportsbook with casino games on the side. Both belong to Sky Betting and Gaming, part of Flutter Entertainment, and they share a single account. That shared account is the biggest difference to plan around: open one and you count as an existing customer of the other, so you get one welcome offer, not two.

Facts on this page are as of 20 October 2026.

Who runs them and the licence

Two companies, one group. The shared Sky Betting and Gaming terms say that "us" means SBG Sports Limited when the subject is Sky Bet, and Bonne Terre Gaming Limited when it is Sky Bet Games, Sky Vegas, Sky Casino, Sky Bingo or Sky Poker. The same terms state that the Sky businesses are wholly owned by Flutter Entertainment plc, the group behind Paddy Power and Betfair.

On the Gambling Commission register, Bonne Terre Gaming Limited holds account 65519 with remote casino and bingo licences, active since 18 November 2024. Its trading names are Sky Vegas, Sky Casino, Sky Bingo, Sky Poker and Sky Bet Games. SBG Sports Limited holds account 67370 with general betting, pool betting and gambling software licences, active since 6 October 2025, trading as Sky Bet. Both entries list no regulatory actions.

Both brands previously ran under one company, Bonne Terre Limited (account 38718), whose licence was surrendered on 31 October 2025. That company was fined twice. In March 2018 it agreed a £1m penalty package after 736 self-excluded Sky Bet customers opened duplicate accounts and around 50,000 received marketing. In March 2022 the Commission fined it £1.17m for emailing a Sky Vegas free spins offer to 41,395 self-excluded customers and 249,159 who had opted out of marketing. Those cases sit with the old company, not the current licence holders. Our guide on how to check a UK casino licence explains what the register shows.

Winner: neither (same group, both licences active, same past record)

Welcome offer and wagering in pounds

You only get one of these, so the choice matters. Sky Vegas terms count anyone who already holds a Sky Bet, Sky Poker, Sky Bingo or Sky Casino account as an existing customer, and Sky Bet's terms say the same about Sky Vegas.

Sky Vegas. Register, opt in and load an eligible slot: 50 free spins at 10p arrive with no deposit, worth £5. Then opt in again, deposit £10 and stake £10 on slots or instant win games within 30 days of registering, and 200 more spins at 10p are credited within 72 hours, worth £20. That is £25 in spins for a £10 outlay. Spin winnings have no wagering, so £6.40 won is £6.40 you can withdraw. The catches: spins are locked to the first eligible game you load (Eye of Horus, Fishin' Frenzy, Deal or No Deal Megaways and four Jackpot King titles) and expire after 7 days. Deposits made before opting in do not count.

Sky Vegas also runs a live casino alternative: deposit and stake £10 on games such as Crazy Time or Sky Vegas Live Roulette and get a £10 Live Bonus. The bonus itself cannot be withdrawn, but winnings from it are paid as cash with no wagering.

Sky Bet. Deposit £5 and make your first bet at least 5p at odds of 1/1 or more, as a single or each way. You receive three £10 free bets, usable on singles or each-way bets, not virtuals, within 30 days. The stake is not returned, so a £10 free bet that wins at 2/1 pays £20. Only your first bet counts, and customers using Neteller or Skrill do not qualify.

For £5, Sky Bet hands over £30 of stake; Sky Vegas asks for £10 and gives £25 of spins, although 50 of them need no deposit at all. Neither attaches wagering, which puts both ahead of most UK casino offers (see our wagering requirements guide).

Winner: Sky Bet (£30 in free bets for £5, against £25 in spins for £10)

Games and betting markets

Sky Vegas is the casino. Its lobby splits into slots, live dealers, jackpots, card and table, and arcade with instant wins and scratchcards. The jackpot side leans on Jackpot King titles such as Bankin' More Bacon and Deal or No Deal The Big Hit Megaways, and the live floor has Sky Vegas branded roulette and blackjack tables next to game shows like Crazy Time and Monopoly Live. Sky Vegas describes the range as hundreds of games and does not publish an exact count or provider list.

Sky Bet is the sportsbook. It lists 26 sports categories, from football, horse racing and greyhounds to darts, snooker, esports, politics and lotteries, with in-play betting and the Sky Bet Club loyalty scheme: bet £30 in a week at odds of 1/1 or more and choose a weekly reward. Its casino side trades as Sky Bet Games under the Bonne Terre Gaming licence, the same company that runs Sky Vegas, and free spins also turn up through the daily Super Spins game.

On slots, the same UK stake caps apply to both: £2 a spin for players aged 18 to 24 and £5 for those 25 and over.

Winner: Sky Vegas for casino play (its whole site is games), Sky Bet for sport

Payments and withdrawals

Because the account is shared, so is the cashier. The help centres for both brands carry the same deposit and withdrawal pages. Methods are debit cards (up to three on an account), Apple Pay, Pay by Bank and Revolut Pay. Credit cards are not accepted, as UK law requires. Withdrawals go back to the method that funded them under the net deposit rule.

Pay by Bank withdrawals arrive immediately. Instant card withdrawals, which cover all Visa cards and participating Mastercards, should land in 1 to 4 hours; standard card withdrawals take 2 to 5 working days. Sky's own pages disagree on the minimum: the help article sets it at £5 for Pay by Bank and card withdrawals, while the general terms state a standard minimum of £10. Our fast withdrawal casinos guide compares these speeds with other UK sites.

The one real difference is the winnings cap. Casino games, Sky Vegas included, pay at most £250,000 per wager outside progressive jackpots. Sky Bet caps sports winnings at £500,000 per calendar day.

Winner: neither (one shared cashier with identical speeds)

Safer gambling and complaints

The tools sit on the account, so they cover both brands. Deposit limits and net deposit limits can be set daily, weekly or monthly; decreases are immediate and increases take 24 hours. Every account also carries a Global Deposit Limit set by Sky, based on age and net deposits, which only rises after you send payslips or bank statements. A cool-off of 1 to 30 days blocks Sky Bet, Sky Vegas, Sky Casino, Sky Bingo and Sky Poker together. Self-exclusion runs from six months to five years, or permanently, and can target Sky Bet alone, the casino group (Sky Vegas, Sky Casino, Sky Bingo and Sky Bet Games) or everything. For a block across every UK licensed operator at once, use GAMSTOP.

Complaints follow one procedure: an acknowledgement within 24 hours, usually a reply within 10 working days, and a final response within 8 weeks for UK customers. If that does not settle it, UK players of both brands go to IBAS.

Winner: neither (same tools, same complaints route)

Mobile and app

Sky Bet has its own app for iPhone, iPad and Android. It needs location services switched on, because play is only allowed from the accepted countries, and iOS devices must run iOS 16 or later. Sky Vegas also says it has a dedicated app alongside its mobile site, with deposits, withdrawals and account management on mobile. An existing Sky login works in the apps, so there is no second sign-up.

Winner: neither (both have apps and share one login)

Which should you choose?

Pick Sky Vegas if you play slots, Jackpot King games or live dealer tables, and you want free spins with no deposit and no wagering to start.

Pick Sky Bet if you bet on football or racing, and you want the bigger welcome value: £30 in free bets for a £5 deposit.

If you want both, open the account through the brand whose welcome offer you would actually use. The other brand becomes available on the same login, but its new customer offer does not. For other UK offers without wagering, see our no wagering casinos guide.

Offshore alternatives to Sky Vegas and Sky Bet

The two sites below are not licensed in Great Britain and are not covered by GAMSTOP, so Sky's shared limits, cool-off and IBAS route do not apply there. They offer much more up front, a 200% first-deposit bonus with 20x wagering on the bonus, against no wagering at all on either Sky offer. Cashing out is the trade-off: withdrawals there are crypto only and capped at £500 per request, where Sky pays to a debit card in hours.

JetSetSpins gives a choice on the first deposit: 200% up to £10,000 plus 100 free spins from £30, with 20x wagering on the bonus only and seven days to clear it, or 250 free spins with no wagering at all. Either way the deposit also unlocks the Royal Wheel, one free spin a day for seven days.

NeonStake matches the 200% up to £10,000 plus 100 free spins from a lower £20 deposit, at the same 20x on the bonus, or 200 wager-free spins from £50. It also pays 10% of the previous day's slot losses back every day as cash, with no wagering.

Both are sister sites on one platform, with casino, live casino and sportsbook on a single account. They pay out in crypto only, £100 to £500 per request. Neither names the company behind it, and neither holds a licence we could verify on any regulator's register, so GAMSTOP and the UK complaints route do not cover them. If you have self-excluded, they are not for you. Both offers and their full terms are side by side on our casino offers page.

Frequently asked questions

Is Sky Vegas the same company as Sky Bet?

Not quite. Both are Sky Betting and Gaming brands owned by Flutter Entertainment, but Sky Vegas is run by Bonne Terre Gaming Limited (Gambling Commission account 65519) and Sky Bet by SBG Sports Limited (account 67370). Both licences are active.

Can I use one account on Sky Vegas and Sky Bet?

Yes. Sky Betting and Gaming allows one account per person, and it works across Sky Bet, Sky Vegas, Sky Casino, Sky Bingo and Sky Poker with the same login. Opening a second account breaks the terms and can lead to it being closed.

Can I claim both welcome offers?

No. Holding an account with any Sky brand makes you an existing customer for all of them, so you get the new customer offer of whichever brand you join first.

Which has the better welcome bonus?

Sky Bet gives more for less: £30 in free bets for a £5 deposit and a 5p bet. Sky Vegas gives 50 free spins with no deposit and 200 more after you deposit and spend £10, worth £25 in total. Neither has wagering.

Which pays out faster?

Neither. They share one cashier: Pay by Bank is immediate, instant card withdrawals land in 1 to 4 hours, and standard card withdrawals take 2 to 5 working days.

Is Sky Vegas available in the UK?

Yes. Sky Vegas and Sky Bet accept customers in the UK, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Gibraltar and the Channel Islands, and the account may be suspended if it is used from anywhere else.

Does Sky Bet have casino games?

Yes. Sky Bet's casino games trade as Sky Bet Games, run by Bonne Terre Gaming Limited, the same company that operates Sky Vegas. For a casino-first lobby with live dealers and jackpots, Sky Vegas is the dedicated site.
